A word puzzle is a pile of letter tiles and a frame that shows how long each word is. You fill the frame until the tiles spell the phrase. On Survivor the phrase usually fits whatever is on the line, so the prize is your first clue.
Type a letter to place a matching tile in the current slot. Backspace removes it. Left and right arrows move between slots, up and down move between words. Press question mark to hear the frame and the tiles left.
The word puzzle has shown up 26 times across 21 seasons, from Thailand (season 5) in 2002 to Survivor 49 in 2025. Here is every one we could confirm.
